"My ceramic work has included figurative pieces, torsos and heads, also sculptural boats, and most recently thrown slipware. I particularly like pressing features from inside the form, quickly creating a lively, often fractured surface. The boats and slipware are characterised by gestural brushstrokes of coloured slip under a silky glaze."
