"The bowl has been the focus and starting point in my work; through it I question ideas about 'form', 'function' and 'decoration' and explore the division between the 'art object' and the 'craft object'.
I have used throwing to provide energy and tension in some pieces, whilst a delicacy and softness is obtained through 'the pinching' process of hand building in others. The evidence of the making process provides a decorative language."
