"I am fascinated by the powerful presence of Time embedded in objects and places, and intrigued with objects that tell stories of mysterious journeys not known. Time creates surfaces and it can impose a new definition to an already existing form leaving its residue of power. Layers of history added upon those which already exist never totally fade, there is always a trace of something to create a surface which is apparently static yet constantly shifting.
These forms have emerged slowly as each slab of clay is added in a process generated by and rooted in a basic structure."
Paper clay, partly thrown, altered and hand built.
