"I make abstract sculpture using ceramic, but also challenging preconceptions of the appearance of the material. The work deals with tension between and resolution of polarities, most particularly that between the mechanical and organic or artificial and natural. The images and processes used are intended to parallel and materially embody the issues with which they deal."
