"Geology contains many factors which I have found links the materials used in ceramics, such as differing clay bodies which reflect the numerous inclusions found in rocks and mountains, all frozen in time through the process of intense heat. Words that evoke such imagery are weight, balance and gravity, words that I have explored in my sculptures."
