"Inspiration for my work began after a trip to India where I was fascinated by the brightness and strength of colour.
The use of layered colour in my work relates directly to my drawings and photos of painted buildings and doors that I saw.
My interest lies in strength of colour and simplicity of form. The seemingly fragile quality of the containers helps to provide tension between the interior and exterior and exaggerates the different feelings that the interiors convey in terms of space."
